Johnny Ventura, 75, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born on October 9th, 1945 to the late George and Maria "Mary" (Gonzalez) Ventura.

Johnny was a musician and a Latin percussionist. He played the bango, and congas drums. He traveled around the U.S. playing at different events, he had a special love for music and was a great percussionist. He was a lover of animals especially dogs like his mother Mary Ventura. He was the youngest of 5 boys and always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Johnny met and married the late Betsy Burns and moved to Connecticut. They did not have any children together, but they were foster parents to many children. Betsy was a very loving and kind person who helped anyone she could. Even though they were divorced Betsy and Johnny loved one another and stayed united until her passing.

He is survived by his 2 brothers, Richard "Richie" Ventura of Brooklyn, NY and Peter "Polito" Ventura and his wife Hilda of Brooklyn, NY along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Johnny is predeceased by 2 of his brothers; Raymond "Pepo" Ventura and George Ventura.
